I was watching my amel and she started curling up in her water dish so, but she filled it with aspen, no water left, but she has not laid her eggs yet

My ghost that I did not think was anywhere near ready laid hers in her water dish, but the shape of the dish it seems like only one egg was damaged. She laid 11 eggs, one is brown and soft on the bottom but the others look nice and white, and to me they look healthy. Everyone please cross your fingers for me!

3 more days have passed and still no eggs from the amel, I have a hard time not bothering her, but since I work 16 hours a day, she does get rid of me, lol.

Just curious as to how your amel is doing?
Sounds like you got the ghost's eggs out of the water in time. The brown one may be bad but it sounds like the rest are OK.

Yippee!! My amel finally laid her eggs Monday. 10 nice pretty eggs. The ghost eggs seem to be doing okay, although one seemed to have a little dent in it.

I've got to figure out how to get my camera to capture their true colors. My amel is so much brighter than it shows and it doesn't capture the male ghost pink background at all.

Hope to get some nice babies. Bred to amel to my charcoal het diffuse and don't know if the amel is het for anything.

And hope to get some nice ghosts from the ghost pair of course, still crossing fingers that they are viable.
