Calorie intake in snakes, anyone experience/expertise with supplements

Jeff Schofield Aug 31, 2003 11:44 PM

Truthfully, I am not sure about the chemical breakdowns in snakes. But my new diet got me to thinking...what would happen if a sucrose(sugar water)solution was substituted for water??Anyone ever try this? I would think in the domestication process someone would have tried this before. Just trying to get people thinking....Jeff

You might end up with a diabetic snake? Water with electrolytes added wouldn't be a bad idea (maybe).IMHO
