The rise in fuel prices will cause anything that needs to be moved to location by truck to go up in price. Have you noticed your groceries yet?

Gardening...
A lot of people are realizing that even a 5x5 garden will grow quite a bit of veggies.

I bought 3 for my parents trip to texas a few weeks ago at target for around 6 bucks.. I needed 11 more for my rack, went to target and they were sold out..went to 4 target stores for them. They got a new shipment and wow 7.49 each! I needed the 1756 i think it is... targets the only one i know of in my area that stocks them... walmart has a different mold (30 qt)..target here has the best selection which includes the 30 and 32 qt. I could have gotten the 30 qts cheaper but i needed the 32s for my rack

It's been a while since I have shipped air freight. Most of my orders have been through fedex. The last time I used delta, shipping delta dash was around $75.00 and today it was $112.00 and change. So much for animals being inexpensive to ship.

I pretty much plan on selling any babies I decide not to hold back locally...via newspaper ads and craigslist.

Bruce,
Did you pre book or do it at the counter? I haven't shipped in a while but several times the counter has tried charging me about that much, when I complained and showed them invoices from 2 weeks earlier that were about $75, they acted dumb. I called the booking # from their counter and got the old rate. Mike

Delta is right at $104 for Dash. Those are the new prices, and expect them to go up Monthly, if not weekly. I've been hit with three different rates in one month, and all were pre-booked.

in a couple of years when gas hits $8 or $9 dollars a gallon, we're all going to say remember when gas was around $3.50, those were the good ol days, lol!

$3.50? Where the heck do you live?
It's $4.30 here.

i live in Italy, working with the US ARMY. we have NATO gas coupons that equivilate to about $4.46 a gallon. I guess i've not been paying close enough attention to the gas prices. Last i look it was about $3.50 a gallon. I heard it's expected to hit over $5 this summer.

Man, am I old. I actually remember when gas was .23 per gallon. But minimum wage was 2.25 an hour as well. But you could buy a squirrel monkey for $19.99 off of the ad on the back of the comic books. LOL
