A while back I posted pictures of my Royal Diadem ratsnake. I got it in replacement for a Tiger Rat that was deformed (breeder didn't notice), and alas, it too was deformed. I've been feeding it pinkies since I got it about 6 weeks ago, and it finally shed. I've noticed that the hole in the belly is about half as big as it was when I first got him, (The picture is from when I got him, not now). He seems to be doing excellent, and I'm very glad that he is doing so good.
I'm planning on finding someone locally who wants him and is willing to continue to nurse him back to health. I'm just not sure how I'm going to do it. When I was a kid I used to give away free kittens until I found someone was getting them as snake food. He's such a beautiful snake, healthy and perfect in all ways but one. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can find him a nice permanent caring home in Arizona, let me know. I hope this doesn't infringe upon the "no advertising" rules here at KS, just trying to do what is right by my young ratsnake (he's an '02).
