White's with inflamed eye... help please...

dubumb Sep 01, 2003 12:30 AM

Hi,

I just got back from the reptile expo here in NC (Raleigh) and i was fortunate enough to get 3 whites tree from for only $25 (after some haggling..) I was too caught up in the moment an excited, I completely missed something wrong with the one white's... His eye...

After acclimating them and getting the tempurature and humidity in the right zone i took notice to the one white's eye... his second clear eyelid is half closed and under his eye is quite swollen... I am figuring that there is perhaps a peice of debris from moss or something else stuck in it... I dont believe he is sick, becuase when i put in 3 crickets from them, he eagerly caught one and ate it. He also seems to be acting normal, his eye is just puffy and I am concerned...

If anyone can help me remedy this, i would be very thankful!

Thanks!
Steve Luttrell

because your frog is eating, i doubt it is a disease. i think
that your frog may have scratched his eye in his last enclosure. keep the humidity low(4o%), to make sure a fungal infection doesn't infect the area.
