prices on female panthers?

compasscreek Sep 01, 2003 01:35 AM

are male and females priced the same or is there a difference? i did a little bit of looking tonite and either the sex was listed or if it was it was a male.
i wpould think that females are cheaper since most people want the colors that males have.

Dennis-

Prices are set by a few factors. Young chameleons of both sexes are usually the same price. Some of the different pardalis locales will vary greatly in price. You should expect to pay at least double for any pardalis over a year. In general the females are a little cheaper in the common locales at an older age then the males. With the newer locales or a bloodline that is top of the line you will pay the same for both sexes. The females are just as valuable as the males, it takes two to tango. Are you looking for a Sambava or a female for your Ambanja?

Hey, I ask you since you are also semi-new to chams, have a child at home, and I assume a wife? Anyway, do you have a room dedicated to your cham? Or are you using a spare bedroom? Or....? I have mine in the guest bedroom, and am running out of room...I too would like to get another at some point. Just wondering how your set-up is.

Any other's input is more than welcome also.

Thanks

matt i'm married, two kids, and a sister in law that lives with us. both of my kids sleep in the same room. e tried the seperate room deal but they always ended up in the same room at bed time. my sister in law has the other room.once she gets out i'll move the chameleon into there. right now he(the chameleon)is in the living room in a spot that doesn't get alot of close traffic. my wife tolerates it there! lol pretty much it is the first thing you see in the living room because of the cage size. the first cage i had wasn't that big and she was ok with it but this new cage, she says "it overpowers the room". yeah so!! but what a conversaion piece though huh!!? i tried to move our dinner table out into the garage becuase it only gets the "end of the day" stuf piled on it and we don't use it to eat at but she isn't hot about that idea. not having more room is one of the reasons i can't get another chameleon yet but i WILL get one i just have to work into it(meaning wear the wife down lol!). my sister in law was suppose to move to nevada in may then it was tahoe last month. now she says she wants to stay at our place in north AZ and go back to school...only winter is coming and she hates the snow!

Lol.. Just tell her you read about it in a Fen Shui (sp?) book that chams are great for your karma. lol. Why do you think they wrote that song? Or, tell sis that you are moving lizzard into her room. Or, if she hates snakes, get a snake... hehehe. jk
I'm pretty lucky. My dad LOVES Orion, and I live with just him, so it works. Lol before you know it it will be "Honey, what do you think about a new home? The kids will love it... we can get you a hot tub... and each cham can have his own room?! What do you think!!!" lol

the funny part is she wanted the chamelon in our bedroom and i told her no, i didn't want him hidden away. the fung shei thing i already used trying to get her to move back to arowhead. i told her it would be better for the kids to neighbors, no traffic. she doesn't like being away from family and the mountain roads. if opposites were ever attracted it's definately us! if i really want something i can get it...i just hear about it afterward. lol
