I have been reading this forum for a while now as well as others and figured I would stop for a minute and say hi here. I have a pair of CB Mali's that are around 3 years old. My GF and I got them back in Feb. and they looked great when we picked them up. They have since both put on weight, the female has shed, and they get along well. I am hoping next year they will produce some eggs (Not too sure if they are sexually mature enough for this year, so I may not put them through a serious brumation).

Forgot to mention...
The male (Bo) is about 9" and 210g
The female (Neema) is about 7-7.5" and 170g

The last few weeks after I bumped the lights to 13 hrs they have been very very active, and eating at least a full bowl of food each day, sometimes 2 (the bowl holds about 1 cup of food)

Fecal check came back clean on both. Now I just wish I had a definite yes or no to buying a house so I can determine how big I can go on building a new enclosure.

Hey Rtl ... MissAnne here from Uromastyx forums... Just thought i would let you know that I think Neema is way younger than you think ... We have 8" Mali females and they are only about 20 months old. Also, our male is just under 10" STT and is only 3 yrs old.

From what I have read, Uro's don't actually become sexually mature until they are at about 4 yrs old.

Hmm.. Interesting thought. I need to get her out to get a good measurement of her, I thought they both came from the same clutch, but I guess I could get a hold of the guy who hatched them and find out. It is possible when we picked them out at my gf's bosses house that he had mixed a few up by chance and she is a year younger.

He bought a lot of Mali's and Ornates from a friend of his in PA that is breeding them. Maybe I'll give him a call later.

BTW any idea what is going on with repticzone? It's been down since this weekend (at least it hasn't worked for me in my office or at home)

It's back up now ... something about a generator or something blowing up ! LOL
