cool Shannon. Are these docile or are they flighty? Do you know if there is an albino strain for flavs?
Thanks,
Russ
no albino gene that I am aware of but who knows? They are pretty laid back usually but really don't like being handled.

Shannon,
Congrats on the small clutch, like you said better then nada...
Do you use a lid with a hole in it or just an open top container ? and is that fine grain vermiculite ?

I opened my mouth and out flowed a melody black.
Yes, I use a lid with a hole in it and I use both fine and coarse grain verm.
Thanks Shannon
Would you say this genera in your experience is more comfortable with a egg laying chamber with a hole in the lid as compared to the side or it's just a matter of your individuality ?
I use side holes for rat snakes but have not bred enough snakes or used top holes to know if their would be any preference to the snake.
You have breed several different genera (yeah I see you on a lot of forums lol) and may have noticed a difference if their is any to see.

I have never thought about it actually. hummmmmmm,
I have always used top holes since day one but I am sure side holes work just as good.

I may switch to top holes. I would imagine the snakes would drag less medium in and out of the egg box that way.
