One of my pairs of Big Pine Key Rosy rats.

I'm hoping to get couple more locality pairs this season - fingers crossed...

I purchased all of mine, but would love to some day collect a few... I think all the keys are now protected though.

Thanks.

Awesome!,...I've always had a thing for those little Rosy Rats(rosacea)from the Keys.........those are sweet!

I used to see more of them in the hobby many years ago, but Rich Z., and a only a few others seem to breed them anymore.

I'd love to see some photos of the others when you get them too.

best regards, ~Doug

Like you, I've always had a thing for the rosy rats, but didnt get into them until a couple years ago. I dont see nice light colored ones very often at all either.... Don at South Mountain has some super nice animals - this pair here is from him.

I picked up a few others last year but none of them had that nice clean (hypo) look to them and I moved them out pretty quickly.

Thanks again - and I'll be sure to post what I pick up.

I dont know just how large they'll get.... I know most of the Keys rats max out in the neighborhood of 3-4 feet from what I've heard.

I can tell you that my '07 female is about 18 inches and my '06 males - from the same line, are right at 36 inches.
They tend to stay a bit slimmer but are putting on length very well.

Thanks again.
