B. lateralis gravid:

One of the females had been on the bottom of the cage and not feeding for a few months. Despite that she retained weight and all else seemed fine, so I let her be.

This morning at 4 AM, I decided to move her around a bit and when she was lifed on the hook, I noticed several big lumps on her belly. It first struck me to think she was filled with tumors and then it dawned and shocked me to realize those big lumps are babies inside her.

Yea, had an adult trio for 4 years now and saw the male trying a couple of years ago and he tried for months and never saw any hook up but then cannot say I kept watching either, so I hope she has live ones inside and not a bunch of undeveloped eggs. She can barely lift herself onto a branch now so I am counting on live births. Folks ranted at me that these could not be bred in Florida but this trio proved several wrong if indeed she drops live babies.
