Haven’t posted here in awhile so thought I give an update.

Late last year I was privileged to acquire a trio of adults from Russ Bates including his ORIGINAL FOUNDING PAIR! Among other breedings I’ve had this year I crossed these into my Vivid “earth toned” line. Honestly can’t say I’ve been this excited about thayeri production for some time as I think these are going to be some of the nicest “classic” thayeri I’ve produced in some time. About 30 more days will tell the story!!

Also my holdback “female” green thayeri from my old line who later probed as a male just wasn’t acting like a male when put with females so…. I put “him” with my prized Vivid earth toned male and BAM! They got busy! Their eggs too are in the cooker. This last pair is pictured.

Tony,

It's great to see an old pattern with that animal in the first photo as described by Hobart Smith in 1944 "Hoogstraal Expedition" specimens...

That double saddle split is exquisite man!

Later,
Jim.

PS: You going to Daytona this year?

Those two should make for some nice retro thayeri. Good luck with them Tony.
