I have a burm that i want to start cycling next month to maybe get an off season breed, she is plenty big and so is my male,
i have an climate controlled room they are in.

Mating season starts around the end of Oct and goes threw mid March. I put mine together in Sept. I've never tried any offseason breeding. Sorry

I'm unaware of anyone successfully breeding them outside of their normal breeding season. I'm not saying it can't be done, I don't know for sure, but I think it would be pretty difficult and require quite an elaborate setup.

You've gotta consider that these things are from the other side of the world and yet here on this side of the world, even when kept indoors in even the coolest climate, they still breed during the same time frame as that of their natural counterparts.

I can only imagine that it would require a completely controlled environment, one in which the seasons would have to be reversed, in order to induce off-season breeding.

However, I don't suggest that you let that keep you from trying. Go for it. I wish you well.

Have a good one!
