I would like to get a hand held GPS so that I can note locations for my field notes when herping. Does anyone have any suggestions on good, user friendly, reliable yet not too expensive GPS devices? Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if the black and white screen is a problem at all or if its really better then color. How does the color actually help with a hand held unit for off road stuff ?

98% of the cell phones without payed dervice will still let you locate your position in minutes, but if money isno object you should get the color screen and with the option on downloading the sattilite image to your gps and you can see the flagpond you just circled on the screen. bushnell 200CR $280.00...
