heartfeltlie Jun 05, 2008 11:04 PM

I just rescued a plated lizard and today while giving it a bath it pooed out a clear red goo feces and the stoped responding to anything I turned him upside down moved him form warm to cold water and there was nothing after a few he stared breathing again but it dosnt look good. Can anyone explain this to me and what I can do to fix this?

never had a plated, but red feces id think were probably a massive parasite load or other GI issue, id say a vet trip is in need. as far as turning him upsidedown, lots of liz will freeze if put like this, not reccomended to do to them. and im not sure what the reason for putting him in cold water was, was it to try to wake him up? id say get the husbandry as perfect as you can and get to the vet asap!
