20 freaking years I found a female.I live in Mono county and have seen about 8 kings in 30 years and about 5 since I knew how to sex them keep them etc..
Well,I have been trying to get a pair for ever and last night I finnaly scored a girl.
They are nothing real special except I bet you have never seen one before.

Anyway, here is the girl.

Well, you are only in Mono county for a few miles (out of INYO) before you go way up in elevation. The county line on hyw 395 is at about 6000 and on hyw 6 its at about 5000.But there is very little habitat (its super dry) off of hyw 6 in MONO county for kings before the elevation goes way up.

I remember one time Shannon posted pictures of his collection ( or part of it) on the forum. That was very cool.

gravid one you posted the other day???

Considering their rarity, how cool to find a gravid one - if that's the same girl....

Take care bro!

Nope, the gravid one is from southern Inyo in the Desert not far from Ridgcrest.
