well now that i'm back from my "vacation" i can now ask a question that has been bugging me for a while now. I have a ball python, a pueblan milk, and a mex black king. the ball lays down one nice log a few days after feeding, almost no smell and in general the cage is odor free. the other two drop squirty nasty smelly messes several times after feeding, and in general the cage gets very ripe after a few days.
full disclosure i only use reptile carpet in my enclosures, i have several pre cut pieces for each size enclosure so taking the old carpet out a quick bleach water wash-down and dry, and a fresh piece goes in. takes almost no time.
is it that a boids digestive system is different? of is it possible that my other two have parasites or something. (my ball had a RI and my vet treated for parasites as well just in case).
thanks
Mike
