I need advice fast! My sister and niece were over today, and while my sister and I were outside, my niece was inside and (unbeknownst to me) decided to play beauty parlor with my desert tortie. She painted his shell with nail polish and acrylic paint. What do I do now? I was able to wipe off a lot of the paint, but not all of it came off, and I don't know what to do about the polish. Are either of these going to hurt my tortie if I leave them on? The acrylic paint is water-based and says it's non-toxic, so I'm not as worried about that, but I'm especially worried about the polish and chemicals it may contain. Will it leach through the shell and make him sick? And I'm REALLY hesitant to use nail polish remover--that might make things worse. Any info or suggestions would be great. Thanks!
