Hey Jeremy,

Pastel originally was a line of reduced black boas. Now the term is used quite a bit to describe animals with reduced black and/or increased "pastel" colors. It is NOT recessive, more of a polygenic trait. The pastel lines will make babies of various levels of pastel.
