Coccidia?

ryuman1 Jun 08, 2008 09:50 AM

I got my new dragon at the Ft. Myers Repticon (not a very big show) There weren't that many there but this one caught my eye. Nice red around the edges but still has darkness I was looking for. She road home fine and I have her set in quarantine. She pooped last night and this morning and it is not so much runny as very soft, it is green in color (which I believe is just color from food) and smells very bad. My male normal has had stools like this but it is very rare. She has had two in the last two days. I will get a fecal once she settles in and calms down after relocation. But until then any thoughts?

The stress of a show could have allowed coccidia levels rise in her system...or it could simply be the change in diet. Green poop usually means food dye from pellets. If he is active and eating well, shouldn't have anything to worry about though getting a fecal done is a good idea.
