OT het pied clutch....

FRoberts Jun 08, 2008 03:21 PM

My first time trying to breed ball pythons. Well I got seven fertile eggs. I have used maternal incubation a few times with other pythons and this is my first time trying to incubate python eggs of any type. So wish me luck. I set them up in a home made 10 gallon incubator with a helix at 88-89 degrees. She laid them at 31 days after pre egg laying shed.

Got seven huge fertile eggs from her. This is her first time breeding and she and the sire where raised from neonates by my friend John and given to me 1 year ago to raise further and breed.

This is because I am GREAT and have the best of luck breeding snakes of any kind the first time out.

I do have skill...but am I blessed by both God and Lucifer at one time or another in my life!!!!

Here are some pic's...

I need you guys to wish me luck...I got fertile eggs, now I just need to get the incubation thing right...I thanked my God's as well!!!

I am new to incubating python eggs, I always have used maternal incubation.

My BRB is refusing food as well. First time ever!!! She is sooo huge I wouldn't even know if she was gravid.

She is not behaving gravid, but you know that feeling and You get a moonglow!!!!

The dumeril is going to drop something, she is getting bigger and bigger...could be slugs who knows...but slugs usually do not make a snake get bigger...but moonglow's usually don't show up either....so they may be slugs..waiting on that female...has me looking daily!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I am not optimistic till the balls hatch...so there is the modesty you seek...I HOPE they make it till show me some neonates!!!!!

It sounds like you've got a lot of liitle ones that may be popping out in the next weeks. Keep us updated! If there's an angel that watches over snake babies, I'll pray that they help yours into this world.

Congrats on the good eggs, Frank. I'm not too into the Balls, but I do really like the look of the Pieds. Perhaps someday I may get a pair of those.
