Just thought I'd clear the air a little bit and post a very interesting afrock i acquired a few years ago. Pics of the were taken as a hatchling. Tell me what you think? Leopard, labby, reduced? Only time will tell.

Hey there!
That's a nice snake you have there. The pattern is unique.

I know that labyrinth Burmese pythons were discovered in the wild but I kind of have my doubts about it being a natural phenomenon in African rock pythons. And because of my doubts I suspect your snake to be a cross and not a pure afrock. However, I'm far from an expert on morphs, so don't take my word for it. I'm just sharing my opinion, that's all.

"Tell me what you think? Leopard, labby, reduced?"

Leopard - "No"
Reduced - "No"
Labby - "Yes"

Do you know any of its history?

I'd love to see some more photos, some closeups would be nice.

I enlarged the first pic and lightened it up a tad (hope you don't mind). Have you noticed the smiley face on your snake?

Have a good one!

Will let me see if i can answer all the questions. It was CH PURE african rock it is NOT a burmeseXrock cross. Several morphs in several different species are found in the wild, the laby burm being one. Also the patternless afrock has been found in the wild. I think PP in cali originally imported there patternless rock also, not 100% sure of that though. I have had her since a tiny hatchling. I dont mind that you repost the image and brightened it. Put if you post it on your site let me know and give me props..lol Glad to see that someone noticed the smiley very unique, what if it became its genetic marker...lol That would be nuts. Enjoy a few more pics you requested. One close up of pattern, one a head shot and last but not least...the smiley. And shes around 5'+/- right now.

See, I told ya I was far from a morph expert. Ha! Ha!

That's interesting info. Do you know if there are any others? What about its siblings, same pattern or normals?

I think the pattern is interesting because it looks as if there's 3 rows going down its back. The smiley is a kicker.

Thanks for the other photos. I wouldn't dare put any of 'em on my site without asking your permission first and giving you credit. If it's alright with you I'll delete the photo I altered & circled the smiley within a few weeks. I figure that would give everyone browsing the forums a good chance to really see the smiley. I'll delete it whenever you want. I didn't even title it or give it a description when I posted it on PhotoBucket, and it's not shared, either.

Thanks for sharing her!

Have a good one!

The clutch i got to see had what appeared to be normals and and she was the one that jumped out at me, i probaly should have bought her siblings anyway...lol From what i've gathered from various big breeders. They have all told me there is defiently something genetic with her. Some have leaned towards laby, or even a codom pattern morph. While another said it could be the het of a new patternless bloodline. Whatever it is only time will tell, and im grateful with whatever happens.

I just keep thinking....what if its codom?...Holy crap could it have a super???

Wouldn't THAT be a kicker?

I lost a pretty unique Afrock here a while back. Have always liked them. Unfortunately I'm physically unable to handle an adult anymore.
