HATCHLING EYE ISSUE, HELP???

leo_lover07 Jun 08, 2008 09:52 PM

I recently hatched a baby that has an eye problem. I'm not sure if it's a mutation or if the hatching substrate irritated his eye? He was hatched on thursday and its been large ever since I found him in the incubator. I think it's just irritated but I wanted some outside advice. If it is just irritated is there anything you guys can suggest to make sure it doesn't get infected, minus going to the vet b/c I'm poor. Thanks guys.

Looks like not much too worry about. You can use some regular saline eye wash to flush any irritants from the eye.

I agree it dose not look like anything to worry about but a vet visit for sure would not hurt. I can speak for everyone but for a visit to my vet i t costs less than a petco gecko "$16.99, $10-$15 office visit" best of luck

Wow thats amazing the only exotic vet around me is really expensive, I visit would be close to a 100 for me and I dont have that. I've been flushing its eyes out with some artificial tears I got from the vet in january. To be honest I think it just has one larger eye. I'll keep yah posted guys. Thanks.
