Question about my boa's size

SherriX2 Jun 09, 2008 05:28 PM

I just got my boa friday night. Its 17 1/2 inches, and was told its 6 month old.when I got it,they said they hadnt fed it in 2 weeks and were feeding it frozen mice pinkies (I dont know how many at a time)Is it to small for its age? I think so,but I'm not 100% sure.I want my snake healthly

BTW~~ I got my boa free because the pet shop owner had not paid his lease in 6 months and the owner of the building showed up, told him he had 30 min. to clear out all the live animals and he changed the locks. Now the owner of the pet shop has 5 days to come up with the back rent or get the stuff in the store sold.

Size sounds about right I think, especially if it was "maintenance" fed. I would just feed it a prey item as wide as the body once a week.

Sorry to hear about the pet shop.
