22 eggs left and about a month to go

Sunfox Jun 09, 2008 07:42 PM

Some of the eggs didn't make it. They turned yellow, shriveled and got moldy. The rest of them look good and healthy.
Isis has long since returned to her usual female bulk. She has shown no adverse effects from laying her large clutch. Ra was removed shortly after the eggs were laid as Isis was extremely protective of her nest site.

The eggs are due to hatch about the first week of July.

Very exciting!! I'm glad to hear she's not showing any ill effects. I can't believe how many she laid! Keep us posted.

That's excellent news.
Sound like the rest will go the distance.
I decided to not introduce my male and female egyptians this year, and she has been sporadically discarding infertile eggs at the rate of 1-2 a day.
she eats a litte in between, but I am looking forward to her last egg! So far about 20...
Good luck with your hatch!
