Numbers question

Grape Jun 09, 2008 11:59 PM

Hey,

I know Ive had this explained to me before, but I forgot. So, what do the 1.2.1 type numbers mean in regards to species that an owner has. I know many people post it below their names and I just dont remember what it means in terms of quanity, age, etc.

Thanks,

Grape

The first number is Males, the second is females and the third is sex unknown this usually applies to babies or offspring. Best wishes Douglas Beard / Flora & Fauna

Hey, Vic and Doug. I have been around for a little while myself, though not in FL which is apparently where some of the things you guys are talking about happened. We had our share of semi-reputable reptile people up north, but most of the guys I recall were honest and pretty darn sharp for those old days.

I remember waiting with extremely high anticipation for each and every price list from Larry Lantz of the fabled old "Midwest Reptile Exchange". He had some really good and very rare stuff back in the day. It wasn't cheap, but it was healthy.
