Sad Story, I sold the hypo to Nathan not knowing it was hypo.It was totally normal as a hatchling. At about 8 months old it was clear that it was a hypo.Nathan was about to send her back to me so I could finish raising her up and breed her back to dad and she just up and died on him. That was a couple years ago.
Last year I got bad eggs from her and this year god eggs so we will see.I will have to keep all the babies for about a year before I will know I think?
Anyway, thats the only pic that there is.

Man!,...that's too bad bro!,...Hope there's some hypo's inside that clutch there.
Yeah,...I guess you won't make that same mistake twice by letting them go prematurely this time!..LOL!,....I'd be holding onto them for a good year too!
good luck this time!, ~Doug

Sweet ruthveni. There is a special place in my heart for those guys.
Way back when, I saw a small group of ruthveni. Unbeknownst to me then, they were descendants from originals brought over in the late 70s. They were large, especially in girth, compared to many seen today. I could swear one of them was well over 3ft and thick enough to swallow a small rat.
Would you know what locale they could have been from? Darker than the locale you pictured here, slightly higher band count if I remember correctly, and much more robust.

Mark, I work with all three known locales in the hobby.I am sure you are talking about the Almaelco line that Llemke and others brought back in the late 70's and early to mid 80's.
I still have a wild caught male here from Llemke that was wild caught in 83 as a adult. He is still chugging along and breeding. He is also the grandfather to all the aberrant and striped animals you see in the hobby.
The third line is from Jalapan and is the furthest east they have been found.I also have one of those thats about 20 years old now.
