final clearance to attend the BIG SHOW..

daveb Jun 10, 2008 08:27 PM

just had the talk tonight, and I'm clear to go to the big show, D-beach, baby. whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop! There's about 10000 people I haven't seen in a couple of years, and it'll be great to visit again (unless they don't want to see me... in that case I just hope the Sat. night lectures are going to be good...)

see ya there, like it or not!

its awefully expensive to get hammered at the hilton

it is expensive to breathe in the hilton, but what must be, must be. TSA won't let me bring drinks in my carry on. anyhow, any drink stronger than water pickles my spleen ( so the beer on tap will be fine - HA!)

Glad you are going to be at the big show.and also at the expo. You will have no problem finding me.I will as always be courting Sir Rossis of Livermoore.

daveb Jun 10, 2008 09:26 PM

which way to the art show???? seriously, some of that stuff is a better investment than what is in the main hall, hahaha.

do you still have the same table or will I have to look you up in the $10 tour guide? This year, I will watch your table and YOU go get lunch.

btw, how many more hours before I have to get my plane ticket?

I am at the same table as usual. Come on by. The usual bunch of crazies will be there, including Beaver(Gopher) Cullen, Tony Dongarra, Dennis MacNamara, Scott Crumbly, and a cast of thousands. But if I leave you at the table, you may not see me again till sunday at closing time.

Don't you mean...Sir Liver-no-more?..hahaha!

LOL. actually the liver doesn't go away , it just gets fatty and then fibrous until it is completely nonabsorbent and non functional. Kind of like carrying a couple of pieces of styrofoam in you. It just so happens I have an affinity for styrofoam so I am OK.

daveb Jun 11, 2008 07:58 AM

they make life jackets and crash helmets out of styrofoam, so it sounds like you're getting SAFER as time goes by,lol...
so what are you planning to bring to the show? if its not all sold a priori, do you offer your employees a commission? there's a couple of books I would like to get...

I already sold a bunch of clutches wholesale right out of the egg. Yay!! No upkeep, no feeding, etc. I will probably bring: afew womas, pyros, applegate pyros, albino yellow rats, okeetees and reverse okeetees(ghosts all sold),eastern kings, outerbanks kings (brooks, splendida, holbrooki all sold out of egg). I am also thinking of parting with my breeder pair of everglades rats and a male albino whitewater rosy, but havent yet decided. The commission is: a beer every 5 minutes watching my table, wait a second, if my plans go right, then I will be owing you too much alcohol. More than the APEC nations can produce(Alcohol Producing Countries). There might be a shortage and prices may skyrocket. Ok, a beer every 10 minutes then.

good one buddy, and fellow APEC consumer.Unlike OPEC, they don't produce barrels but kegs.

Patton Jun 11, 2008 04:22 PM

The way things are going, it will soon be cheaper for a gallon of 18 year old Scotch, than a gallon of gas.

WillStill Jun 11, 2008 01:34 PM

Hi Dave,

I had the table right next to the registration booth last year, which I thought was great becasue everyone that entered had to see my table whether they wanted to or not. I asked Wayne for the same spot, but he hasn't confirmed whether I have it or not, so I don't know where the heck I am at this point.

elaphopeltishow Jun 11, 2008 04:09 PM

Hey Wil, Have we met yet? Probably have every year but the plaque on the brain, and being a card carrying member, indeed founding member of APEC, I can't remember.

WillStill Jun 13, 2008 12:18 PM

Hey Howie,

Yes sir, we met at the last expo. But don't worry, i also take pleasure in disabling as many brain cells as I can at that event, so I don't remember but a fraction of the folks that i met there. You and Rainer however left an impression on me. Look forward to seeing all of you guys again.

Dave-

I'll have quite a bit-depends on what sells between now and then. Lots of hogs, locality desert kings, hondurans, ball morphs, and at least a dozen varieties of corns....plus suprises
