Anybody ever have to leave a cluch of eggs in with the mother for about a week or more? And what was the outcome. I'm suppose to go out of town for about 10 days, and my large Cal. king decided to be about 2 weeks late. looks like I might have to leave her in charge.
Thanks; Bob

Just turn your heat tape down and it should be fine.I did have a albino banana king that used tolike to eat her eggs all the time.I had to be right there.

If it were me, I would find a reliable midwife! She will be starving and looking for food a few days after the event.

If it were me, I'd take every egg I could from her just prior to leaving,....that way there would only be a risk to the few that remained inside her versus risking ALL of the eggs being left with her.

I'd offer her a little food now and before you leave, and leave the nesting substrate a little more damp than preferred if I was in your shoes. A lif on the nest box with a hole for the snake to exit would probably keep humidity for eggs higher than if you don't. Not much else you can do other than cross your fingers, but good luck!
