What substrate do you guys use in Calif.for Manouria.I recomend cypress mulch but have been told you cant get it their. It needs to be kept damp without getting a mold on it.I know some use hay,but mold spores can get in the air when they walk and move around on it which will cause a fungle infection in the lungs.(deadly)What has been used long term with know illness resulting. Thanks Vic Morgan

I've always used the coconut coir blocks you find at garden/agricultural suppliers. I think it works a whole lot better than Cypress, and is a renewable resource, where Cypress really isn't.
