snake found -- please help me identify???!!!

I live in East Central Mississippi... My boyfriend came across a small snake -- about 14 inches long -- on the floor of the place where he works, and we are trying to figure out what kind of snake it is... My dad is usually my first source for herp identificaton, but he is out-of-town, so I was wondering if any of you could help... My guess is a small Eastern King Snake or something similar, but I could very easily be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off the mark... His belly is a bit yellowish-green, and that didn't seem to show up well in the photo (http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/index.pl?photo=96786)

Thanks for taking a look and helping me out...

Looks like you've got him on used rodent bedding. Cedar is not good long-term for reptiles. If my eyes are deceiving me, never mind!

No worries -- the shavings are only temporary as he is going to be released tomorrow morning... The area this little guy was found in is a high-traffic/business, and my boyfriend didn't exactly expect to find a snake on the floor of his office when he went in today... That was just the only place where he could put him in the meantime (I'm just glad he wasn't discovered by someone who would rather kill it out of ignorance -- "just in case it bites"... My dad is a lifelong snake-lover and will love nothing more than getting his hands on this little guy and letting him go out by our house in the woods where he won't get run over or killed by a human...
