OT: Post shed indigo (and one ARB pic)

natsamjosh Jun 12, 2008 07:13 PM

Jack just shed, he seems to have gotten a tad darker/glossier.
Put a pic of Mendoza at the end so I can say the post isn't
completely off topic.

Thanks,
Ed

He's growing quickly, probably about 3 to 3.5 feet long now...

And last but not least, Mendoza. I should have named him "OnTopic"

Pics of Jack are always welcome (thanks again for sharing) But now that you have a rainbow boa you should be able to do more than just one token on topic pic I want to see more of Mendoza.

That does NOT mean less of Jack BTW!!

Dave,

Thanks. Here are a few I snapped yesterday. He's calmed
down quite a bit since I handle him a little every day.

Thanks,
Ed

This is another one of the males from the may 12th litter of Argentinian Rainbows. All but one in the litter ate the first few weeks. The one hold out ate a live pinky rat last night.

Thanks,
Ed

Ed,
....I would have thought that you would have had trouble finding enough Anoles for him. They are all over the place here this summer. The Bahamian Anoles, Anolis segrei have just this year begun to outnumber the native Anolis carolinis.

Hey Jeff,

I actually buy anoles from a guy down in Florida. I don't see many of them in my immediate area for some reason, and I really don't have the time to hunt skinks/fence lizards. The thing is,
he's getting so big that he can eat 5 or 6 at a time right now. I'd prefer to feed him prey that's big enough for one to be enough! Might be worth going garter snake or black racer hunting.

Oh, btw, Mendoza took a hopper mouse yesterday! He had no interest in the first one I offered him, but he attacked the
one yesterday.

Thanks,
Ed

All snakes are on-topic in my book! It's great to see your fabulous close-ups of Jack and the token shot of Mendoza. Those guys are growing more handsome every day!

Thanks Renee. I like taking the head shots for some reason.
I better get more pics of Mendoza, don't want him to feel like
he's the token rainbow boa.

Thanks,
Ed
