Housing male leo with a tremper giant

usfbull99 Jun 12, 2008 10:58 PM

Hi all,

I am in the process of purchasing a female leo for my male leo. He is around 7 to 9 months of age and weighs in at 67 grams and 9 inches long. I am wanting to know first if its not going to be any problem to house him with a tremper giant female ?

So if its not going to be harmful to either my male leo or the female temper giant to be housed together as for the housing would a 40 gallon tank be enough room or would i need a bigger tank ? going to possibly get another temper in late december so having three geckos housed together would a 40 gallon tank be acceptable for all 3 or would i need to grade at that point ?

As for the housing i would need at least 1 hide for each and a humid hid for each or would 1 humid hid be good enough for the both of them and possibly the 3rd temper female i get later in the year ?

Should be fine...but i would carefully watch them for about 20 minutes after you introduce the two. A 40 gallon tank will be more than adequate for your leopards, and be well-suited for your future leopard as well. Agreed....Definately three hiding areas. As for humid boxes, I would leave it as one for now, but maybe switch to two is you get that third leopard later.
