A few temporalis shots

cn013 Jun 12, 2008 11:47 PM

In between thunderstorms today I managed a few quick shots... all are males...

The first is an adult Tyrrell County, NC animal with a nice yellow backround. The second and outcrossed pure Calvert County, MD het. for nothing coastal. Last, another Tyrrell animal... a solid juvie. Hope you enjoy them...

This guy was produced by John Lambert and is holding his white nicely... have some sibs I'd like to snag shots of but they were all in the blue today...

cn013 Jun 12, 2008 11:57 PM

Ok the first is just a cool head shot of a SK... really just felt like tossing it in. It was the only shot it cooperated for and I almost lost it in the grass...

The ghost is a male produced by Terry M, up until today a generally 'sweet' snake. Casually pulls hoppers off of tongs and has never been even slightly flighty or nippy... well up until today. Looking through the view finder I knew it was coming... the lil guy is tenacious and held on for a while gnawing away.

My mom told me about the storms in the Tampa area yesterday...that ghost is killer!

Thanks Rusty... those storms weren't joking around actually. As for the ghost -- thanks again. Yeah he's seeming to stay pretty light not to mention his genetics. Terry did well!

Chris ,that's a very cool picture ,I don't mind getting bit at all ,but when they start chewing ,no thanks !! He has stayed very light ,he might turn out to be pretty nice.

take care

Yeah he's looking like he'll remain nice with some light silvery tipping. Oh and just to pass it on -- the amel. from you has insanely screaming whites! Both snakes are great actually -- thanks again.

Hey Charlie... no actually he didn't come from CA. He's from Ted Thompson... thanks he is pretty damn bright. Plus he's a hog thus far... knock on wood. I'll need to talk to you soon about those MD animals...

Later,
Chris

I'm going to be in your neck of the woods in a few weeks. I have to pick up some cages, do a little hunting, and a little herping. Give me a call so we set something up. I have some property that is pretty good to scope out.

Thanks... without a doubt the red-headed NC animals rank near the top in my book. Though the fully capped ones are outstanding.

Great shots Chris. Really like that red headed temp. w/ the red eyes. The Honduran bite is a funny shot, they try so hard to be tough.

You may enjoy these photos.
Bighorn neonate.

Another Bighorn neonate from 2007.

A female from 2005, Bighorn Co. You can see the color change as they age from the lipsick red saddles to the terra cotta orange.

Adult female, Bighorn Co.

And for fun, we just found this large male on June 9th.

And 300 hundred yards away we pissed this guy off by walking to close to him.
Anyway keep up the good posts, and talk to you soon. -Dell

and nice shots yourself! I really need to get a huge moss covered rock for my yard! As for the Bighorns... stellar. The hatchlings do start off bright... very cool. Though I might say I like the second hathcling a bit better. Anyhow good luck with your extended season hope you find a few more pales before summer finally hits you up there!

Thanks again... later.

Very nice, Chris. Those temps are awesome. What year is that Lambert Hondo? Its very nice. I got some from John in 06 and my male looked similar to yours.

Dave

cn013 Jun 13, 2008 11:35 PM

Hey Dave... I got all my animals from John this past season. Not even yearlings as of yet...
Do you still have yours?

Dniles Jun 14, 2008 12:02 PM

I got 1.2 from him in 06. Nathan Wells has 1.1 of them and I kept a female. He produced some beauties. Here she is.
