"Salmon" is just a particular brand name used to describe a lineage of hypomelanism. "Hypo" is a shortened slang term for the genetic condition of hypomelanism. The Salmon line and the Orangetail line were the two original hypo lines that have spawned other brand names such as Cherry, Lipstick and a few others.

Hope this Helps!

The original Orangetail started with ( Dr. Hardy / Harding(sp)) if my memory serves me correctly. These would be the stock that people like Jeff Ronne and Doug Matuszak use among others. Most of my hypo stock is Orangetail from that lineage.
