I just took this picture after a shed. I can see a yellowish tint over the grey background. Is it a mali? Does it look male or female?
Thanks

Out of curiousity, why do you think this is a female? This one looks just like mine in coloration. And, the head looks just like mine and I was told mine was a male. I am curious on your opinion of this so I know if I was told wrong.
Thanks, Cheryl (new here)
My guess would be male mali, but there are mimic males/females so couldn't tell you for sure.
If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say male.

male malis normally are black with yellow. this one is fresh out of shed and seems to be more brown and tan like female malis.

Male.
I took an underside photo. Does it still look male?
Thanks

How big is he/she? Mine Male Mali is just over 10" long and is about 3 yrs old ... this is what he looks like:

In comparison to my 2 yr old female Mali (about 8" Long):

Most males by the time they are 3 yrs old are showing color. Personally, I would say what you got there is a female. But I'm not an expert. You might send your pictures to Douglas Dix (Deer Fern Farms) or Linsey Pike (Urotopia), they might be able to tell you what sex it is.
