I have two banded water snakes that were caught about a month apart. They are similar in size (approx. 15 inches long) and I was wondering if they would share the same space (a 10 gallon aquarium). Thanks for any info.

Def. not in a 10 gallon. I had about 3 neonate waters in a 75 gallon. You could maybe keep one baby in a 10 gallon for a short time, but if you feed them and keep them correctly, they should outgrow that rather quickly. Disease and parasite transmission is also a worry. Andy

NO, a ten gallon is not enough, I would buy a 100 gal. and that might be big enough for the both of them when they are full grown. I would have a specialized cage built. A good estimated size for them both is... the length should be around 5 feet long, the width should be around 4 or 5 feet long, 5 is better and the height should be like 2.5 feet tall so you can put some aqautic plants in there so the snake can lounge in and on them ect. Just make sure you have enough space.
