Happy Father's Day

kirby Jun 15, 2008 07:28 AM

I hope all of the Father's out there get a chance to enjoy a special day with their families today. I feel very fortunate to be a father for 28 of my 49 years. I have 3 great daughters and had a 21 year old son that died 5 years ago. They have enriched my life in so many ways.

These are tough times culturally and financially to raise kids and I know it can be difficult to balance everything. For many in this hobby/ business that means your time is even more limited and requires a lot of effort to get everything done on a daily basis.

To all of the new father's out there you are about to start one of the best parts of your life and it is important to take time to enjoy everyday with your children as the time from when they are babies until they are grown up goes very fast.

So father's I hope this is a special day for you and that you get to share it with your kids.

Bill, I cannot imagine how it must be for you this Father's Day without your son, but you speak the truth about the improtance of family and remaining close in today's world.

Happy Father's Day to all you dads today and have a nice relaxing day cleaning your cages....I will!!!

Bill, You are so right! Thankfully, your kids are grown, but I'm sure that doesn't stop you from worrying. I look at my two little guys and can do nothing but wonder & worry about what kind of world they're going to grow up in. This world is getting to be a scarier place to raise kids in everyday.

My boys are truly what keep me going!! Without them there is no telling how I would have ended up. They bring the best out in me and one day I hope there children will bring the best out in them.

Happy Fathers day!

And to all the new dads out there!!! Take the time to enjoy the baby experience it won't be long before they're telling you what to do without crying!
