Father's Day eggs!!! *sigh*.....

JKruse Jun 15, 2008 10:52 PM

Hey all,

Happy Father's Day first and foremost! I came home to find my pink agalma with her clutch of nine. All were candled and most appear to be good. This was her second clutch as the first only yielded one good egg. I'm a bit relieved as she typically lays within 6 - 8 days post shed, for this clutch she went 12 days and had me a wee bit concerned. I'm thankful she is an awesome snake and has never had any difficulties whatsoever in her six seasons of reproduction. And now the wait -- last year's clutch yielded one pink baby which, unfortunately, was severely kinked due to a spike in incubation temps while I was away on vacation. Needless to say, I'm not going anywhere this time.

thanks a bunch man, and your animals are super. Nice contrast on those brooks kings. I don't think you own anything ugly, lol. Why not toss in a few more pics of your goodies? Keep 'em comin'. What's on your breeding agenda this year by the way?

To tell you the truth, I don't have many kings now like I had years back. I had a pretty fair amount of all sorts of stuff a while back, but had to greatly down-size since then.

Also, this year I basically kept the breeding projects to a minimum because I'll be moving soon, and I didn't want to have a bunch more youngsters on top of what I already have to deal with until I get situated. I have a few gravid milks and corns, but that's all I plan on this year......NEXT year however, I'll have more things produced...

take care!, ~Doug

Awww man, I'm hoping. I don't know what the statistical chances are given that these animals are already a couple generations down the line, but if the anery gene decides to jump in you'll know bottlenose.
