Herping Question

Boa88 Sep 01, 2003 06:38 PM

Today I was looking in a wooded area for snakes and picked up a board under it I saw three holes that were probably 4 1/2 inches in diameter. I was wondering what animal would live in those I live in Raliegh, NC. Any help would be great.

thats a groundhog size hole, and that many under one piece of cover. they usualy dont surface under objects. is the cover in an old house or housing area, possiably a septic vent or old well cover?
