Pit article in Reptiles?

MikeMurphy Jun 16, 2008 02:14 PM

I seem to remember seeing an issue of Reptiles recently that had an article on pits. I am pretty behind in my reading so I ahve a stack I have gotten to yet. But I can't find the article. Was I dreaming? Anyone know which issue has the article and what's on the cover, if it does exist?

Also, anybody know if any pit books will be coming out soon, similar to Dusty Rhodes' book on subocs?

Thanks!

I wrote an article on Black Pines that was published in the July 2007 issue.

I remember there being a really good article on northern pine snakes in the N.J. pine barrens by Zappalorti around ten years ago.

Thanks for the replies. I think it's the black pine article I was thinking of, Tim. I'll go find it...

KJ is doing The Complete Pituophis. Last I heard, it would be the end of this year before he finishes. No pressure, KJ!

Great news!! It is really hard to believe there is not more research material on the genus.

BTW, enjoyed your book, Dusty.

No kidding. The literature side of things REALLY needs to catch up.
