'Sic'em, Fang!?'

CONNECTICUT POST (Bridgeport) 16 June 08 Man held in python attack order (Tony Spinelli)
Bridgeport: A city man found himself in a tight spot with the law today after he allegedly ordered his a 9-foot-long albino python to attack his girlfriend and two police officers.
Officers dispatched to investigate a domestic complaint on Main Street this morning were confronted by a man and his huge pet reptile, "and he was saying, 'Get them!' " according to Lt. James Viadero, the police spokesman.
The incident took place about 10:20 a.m. when officers, Brian Spillane and Joseph Tesla, were sent to the Cambridge Apartments on Main Street.
There, Victor Rodriguez, 21, was allegedly threatening his girlfriend with the reptile and refused to open the door for the officers.
After the building superintendent opened the apartment door for the officers, Rodriguez allegedly threatened them with the snake, Viadero said.
No one was attacked by the snake, however, and Rodriguez was taken away in handcuffs.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening police. He was being held this afternoon in lieu of $10,000 bond.
The snake, which was removed from the apartment in a large cage, will be held at the city's animal-control shelter until the owner can claim him, said Assistant Animal Control Officer Mike Tubens.
"We took the snake out of the apartment for the well-being of the snake," Tubens said.
