I'd like to buy a bearded dragon I found online from the states...I live in Canada...is it possible to have the animal shipped to Canada?

I am in canada also.
And I have not been able to find a breeder who will ship to me from the states.
I believe it requires ALOT of work to ship and register the animals.
I have considered a drive down, and hope for the best at border crossing. But I have never looked into the concequences of such actions. It is Illegal I am sure.
How bady do you want the dragon?

It is possible to have animals from the US shipped up to Canada..however, not all breeders will do so. I do not think bearded dragons are CITES listed so that is one less thing to worry about, but the breeder needs to have an export license at least. Typically the cost involved and time, for a single dragon, isn't worth it, so most breeders won't bother.

Best thing to do is to email or call the breeder or check their website (most sites will clearly indicate if they ship international or just national).
