A few cleaning day photo's...

P. ruthveni in its hide.

Female mugitus. The fella that I acquired her from told me that he had purchased her parents nineteen years ago from Mark Bell's line of southern pines that originated from Ocala and occasionally threw patternless types. Either way, I consider her a nice generic since the pedigree is not rock solid.

One of the lodingi I am raising up.

Thanks for all of the great posts recently! The forum really seems to be picking up here lately.

three tens, all in a row. nice pics.
some time you need to post a pic of that ruthveni followed by a picture of your KY melanoleucus....

BTW not gaining any ground with folks this year-definitely keep me in mind when the mugitus are ready to breed.

Thanks Dave. Here are some comparitive photo's of Louisiana pines and northerns from Ky.

A couple of field photo's of Ky northerns,

This is a captive bred female from the snake above.

Something else that you might find interesting. A photo of some of the old pickles at one of the in state universities of Ky specimens. Unfortunately in poor condition.

I find this sort of thing fascinating personally. There are similarities in these snakes but honestly I believe they are quite different in a number of characteristics.

Thanks again,

Phil

What line is it from? I don't see any residual banding in the pic. Nice looker.

Bob.
