my Eastern 'rescue'

kiwisue Sep 01, 2003 07:15 PM

My darling other half (who drives earthmoving machinery) walked in the door last night holding a gorgeous Eastern BT he'd rescued from a demolition site. He's just beautiful...I'm gonna keep him for a just a little while - we're not allowed to keep WC's - but he's a 'rescue' as far as I'm concerned, so will hang on to him for awhile for 'observation' He's in a large outside enclosure (a separate one from Miss Liz of course) and is basking in the sun as we speak. He seems very fat and healthy for someome who has supposed to have been hibernating the last few months! (we've had a mild winter though.) He's remarkably docile and is taking it all in his stride (as is the want of the species I suppose.) Can't have been much fun coming home in the glove box of the truck however!

PS Will take some photos before I let him go (although I haven't been able to figure out how to post pics - they turn out much too enlarged - anyone know how to change the file size of scanned photos?

At least with my photo program, you can click on the function that allows you to modify the picture and sharpen it, adjust the colors, resize it, etc. Try looking for such a feature in your program.
I would love to see them, so if you cannot post them, would you email them to me? Thanks.

Great story. You already know that I would love some pics. I have saved all of the ones you sent me! Thanks!
