Hello everyone, as I'm sure all the frequenters remember my post a while back about two of my June 22nd clutch still having not eaten yet. Well, I've attempted to force feed a mouses tail. I have to say it was a stunning (but unpleasent) success. So far the june-non eater has not regurged and seems to be ok. I also force fed my Motley I bought back in early August that seems to be almost losing weight (though probably just not gaining as fast as his motley mate which is eating 2-3 pinkies / 3 days. So far, he has kept is mouse tail down too...
my question to the person, I don't remember who, who suggested this technique. When did these little guys finally succumb to f/t or live pinkies? How many times do you have to force feed before they get the point?
June non-eaters = 2
1 - ate live anoles 2 separate occasions, still refuses brained f/t's
1 - force fed mouse's tail w/o regurge so far
1 - bought in August refused to eat and is almost runt sized force fed mouse tail today also without regurge so far.
thanks for the help and suggestions!
