Eggs hatching or piping...!!!!

ajfreptiles Jun 17, 2008 02:24 PM

Well, I would like to thank all those who have helped me with my questions....These eggs I had are hatching!!!!

Dad:

Mom is a Snow...I know they are white....just imagine she is there I have not taken any pics of her...lol

The eggs must have been warmer than I thought....They were laid 4/27/08 and hatching today....or I guess Piping today....yet that is only 50 days and some told me about 60 days. They had no heat...just sat on a shelf in my baby room....I would say at 82-85 F on that shelf about knee high.

.

I guess they are all albinos het for snow and het for motley.

Thanks Andy

Yep, thats a little high so it would speed up the hatch time for sure.
Usually 60 days at about 80-82.
Very cool.

Some of the babies are lighter...I don't think they could be lavenders....I don't know what makes a lavender...but they may be snows. How is that possible? Please if they are snows what does that make my Sunglow Motley? Would it be het for Anery too?

They are not all the way out of the eggs yet, but they are light pinkish types and Red albino types.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks Andy

Do I wait until after they shed for newborn corns? Do they shed like boas at about 10 days?

Thanks Andy

you can offer food right away if you want. Some people do.
A lot of people like to wait until after the first shed which is usually about 7 to 10 days after hatching. That's what I do. I wait.
