Newbie question from a ball guy. What makes the nice red or orange boas? I know about the blood and berry, but what else gives this nice color? Salmon? Hypo?

a lot of the non-morph related (like blood, etc) reds & oranges come from line breeding high color animals into projects like the salmons/hypos, pastels, and other lines.
selective breeding!

Don't worry. I rarely write anything coherent, but that doesn't seem to stop me from doing it again and again. LOL

Line breeding is not required to make red Boas. Selective breeding is and the more red the better as far as I am concerned.
Here is an example of non-line bred Boas bred for more and more red:

Sometimes you find certain hypo lines that produce some nice red.
