My TX Rats! (PICS)

AmandaTolleson Jun 17, 2008 08:40 PM

I currently have 5 TX rats. The beginning of a long term project to breed for high red (with reduced yellow, so red and black).
No interest in Luecistics here!
The pics where taken right before cage cleaning so excuse the dirty. lol!
0.0.1 Sub adult:

0.1 Adult

0.1 HUGE Adult. Does she look gravid??

1.0 Adult. He was hiding in his water dish and didn't want to come out without biting my hand off. But you can see his cool red on black. =)

And lastly my baby:

Here's hoping the pics work!!

Nice looking Texas rats. You can usually tell if a female Texas rat snake is gravid if her spine is showing slightly on the rear 1/3 of her body. Even in fat, healthy snakes the backbone will protrude a little when eggs are inside.

Good luck,
dg

Those are some good-looking snakes. I really like the first one.

Why no interest in Leucistics? Just curious.
Beautiful snakes, btw.
