My daughter found this little guy in her aunts hot tub today and has ask me to ID it for her. Well I have no clue what it is so here I am asking the pro's for help. It was found in Tampa Florida

She said it was about 12" long

Looks like a FL brown snake.

That is correct. Florida brown snake, once called the DeKay's snake, Storeria dekayi victa. At that size, it was an adult. They are fossorial snakes that are often preyed upon by corals.
