my first Gentilis hatchling

mike_panic Jun 18, 2008 08:07 AM

This handsome hatchling popped out of the only good egg from a very messy 5 egg clutch. He/she is a really nice looking animal and I love the C band with the fading on the side. Thanks for looking and thanks again Jeff Hardwick. Mike Panichi

PS Jeff, I had my first mouse tail feeding event after I spoke with you and although I had a few kickbacks, I got through it ok and it became easier as I went along. Thanks again. Mike

Well done Mike! Nice bright red gentilis!
Next year, a clutch of patternless and albinos - right?
Here's a pic of the sire again.
Stay in touch....Jeff

Very nice, bright red snake! Even w/ the solo hatchling I'd be ecstatic! Great job....

thanks I am very pleased. The clutch was doomed from the start and I had to fight to keep this egg afloat. I dusted the egg three different times with anti fungal powder. Usually I just hit the clutches lightly once when I set them up but this clutch needed all the help it could get. A battle well fought, LOL. Thanks Mike Panichi

I use a makeup brush or a feather brush used to lift fingerprints with Zeasorb-AF. Its for athletes foot and jock itch. The active ingredient is miconazole nitrate 2%. Later man

Fantastic, Mike! What a stellar little neonate. I've got loads hatching myself, but haven't taken any photos. Keep us posted on the other clutch. How are the pales?
